When Currey and I lived at Moody we lived on the 8th floor of our building.  We were in a corner unit with floor to ceiling windows facing Lake Michigan.  The views were always lovely and it was so interesting to watch the world below.  One fun perk was getting to watch the Chicago marathon one frigid morning while sitting on the couch enjoying a piping hot cup of coffee.  I have no desire to ever run a marathon but I continue to be amazed an inspired by those that choose to work toward that goal.

In a way, I feel like this blog is my own version of a marathon.  I’m really great at starting projects but I don’t often finish them.  So I’m celebrating a milestone with this blog.  I’ve been writing for 4 months now.  I’m cooking at a rate to finish my 365 recipes this year.  I just need to work at blogging all the recipes!

To celebrate being four months into my marathon, I’m hosting my first giveaway.  It’s filled with a few of my favorite things.  First off, there is an apron from Anthropology.  I often cook wearing an apron and the adorable ones from Anthropology are some of my favorites!  I tend to be an incredibly messy cook and an apron saves my clothes from being destroyed.  Another cute Anthropology find were these measuring cups.  I think that cute kitchen gadgets are fun to cook with and they add a little beauty to your kitchen.  I’m always looking for functional and fun products to add color to my all white kitchen.  To round this giveaway out, I’m including a copy of The Pioneer Woman Cooks : Food From My Frontier.  As you’ve noticed from reading my blog, I’m a big fan of Pioneer Woman.  I wanted to share the love so you can add her cookbook to your collection.
