It wasn’t my intention to take a break from blogging but these things just seem to happen. The celebration of the blog turning 1 happened to also mark the celebration of my 30th birthday. It was a great day of celebrating and the party continues with a family vacation this week.
With the 4th of July quickly approaching I thought I would share a refreshing drink that would be great for your holiday celebrations. We recently enjoyed this homemade lemonade with a lovely grilled dinner with our neighbors. I’d never made lemonade from scratch before and I can’t imagine ever making it from a powder again. While this method takes a little time and energy, it was worth every last minute.
Feel free to adjust the amount of simple syrup to your taste preference. I prefer a more tart lemonade so I cut back on the sugar. Feel free to adjust the taste as you go and just add the simple syrup a little at a time. If you are a lemonade purist, there is no need to add fruit. I used raspberries for added flavor but you could use blueberries or strawberries instead. This is a delicious drink that would be a welcome addition to any party you are attending this week!
