Hello friends!
As is usually the case, I ended up taking a much longer break from blogging than I had initially anticipated. Life has been crazy busy. Yes, even busier than usual. I’ve made a change in my work schedule that has taken time for us to get used to as a family. It’s a great change that I’m really excited about but it’s still a change.
As we’ve transitioned to a new schedule as a family, we’ve eaten very simply. I’ve been focused on basic meals with minimal ingredients and prep. Thankfully my family is gracious and just gets excited for whatever I’m serving that day. But I’ve really missed cooking. I’ve missed creating meals that my family will really enjoy. I’ve missed having a steady stream of guests to our house for dinner and sharing delicious meals with friends. I have missed creating recipes and the telling you the stories behind them. I’ve longed for the creative outlet that writing this blog has provided me.
Honestly, I’ve spent most of October talking about getting back on track with blogging but it just hasn’t happened. When I saw a recent post about National Blog Posting Month or NaBloPoMo I decided that it was just what I needed to get back in the habit of blogging. Essentially I’m committing to blogging every day in November. It’s a lofty goal but I’m hoping it gets me back in the habit of blogging.
I’ve been creating a few recipes that I’m excited to share! I can’t wait for you to join me this month as I get back to blogging.
