Just a quick follow up to my last post. I really loved the wheat bread but we were having pasta for dinner one night and I wanted garlic bread to go with it. So I made this garlic pull apart bread recipe. I took a loaf of the wheat bread that I had baked and made several slices through it. Make horizontal and vertical slices about 1 inch a part. You want to create a checker board. Make sure that you don’t cut completely through the bread.
I then took 4 Tbsp melted butter and added 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp oregano and 1 tsp parsley flakes. I stirred this mixture together and then brushed it onto the bread making sure to work in onto all sides of each slice. Once you’ve used all the butter mixture, sprinkle salt over the entire loaf of bread. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before eating. This is an easy addition to any pasta dish and was so good we ate it 3 nights in a row. You could easily add shredded cheese, a different blend of spices or your favorite pesto to the mix. The possibilities are literally endless!
