With the holidays quickly approaching, I thought everyone could benefit from a couple of dip recipes that I recently tried. I love having easy to prepare appetizers for any gathering that we are invited to. I love parties where everyone brings an appetizer to share because you get to try lots of different foods and appetizers are some of my favorites. In my opinion, it’s the best way to host a party because you don’t have the financial burden of feeding a crowd and I’ve found most guests don’t mind bringing a treat to share.
The first is French Onion Dip. If you are a fan of French onion dip, than this will become your new go to recipe. It’s easy and incredibly delicious. I left out the celery salt because I hadn’t noticed it as an ingredient so it didn’t make my grocery list. I think that would have added additional depth of flavor and I’ll make sure to add it the next time I make it. I’d recommend making this with enough time to let it sit in the fridge for 3-4 hours before serving. We enjoyed the leftovers the day after the party that we took it too and it was even better the next day. You’ll be loved by all if you bring this to a holiday party this season.
I also made this Baked Potato Dip. Oh my goodness! I cannot even explain how delicious this dip was. We were joking with our friends that we were just going to start eating it out of the bowl with a spoon. I was confused when I first read the recipe because I wasn’t sure if it had potatoes in it. After reading several of the comments I realized that the potato is the chip you use to dip. I was skeptical about this recipe because I was so excited about the French Onion Dip but I was amazed at the final product. If you take this dip to a party, everyone will want the recipe and it is so easy!
I hope that you are anticipating the holiday season as much as I am! I wish we spent the entire year hosting festive parties and enjoying good food with sweet friends. I can’t wait to share more holiday recipes in the coming weeks.
