Several nights ago we were cooking dinner and I thought that the meal needed some sort of roll. I quickly googled Easy Dinner Rolls and millions of recipes popped up. After a quick scan, I realized that I could make these Easy Dinner Rolls with ingredients that I had on hand and they would be ready in time to enjoy with the rest of our meal.
Not only were these rolls easy, they tasted fantastic! I used to be really intimidated by homemade bread. I think it was a fear of using yeast or not having the right temperature of water or the steps of letting it rise and kneading it at just the right time. Thankfully, I’ve concurred my fears and realized that making bread is not near as complicated as I once thought. If you are new to bread making, these rolls are a great place to start. The recipe is fool proof and the end result is a delicious, hot roll to round out any dinner menu. Enjoy them while they are hot with melted butter. They are oh so delicious!
Now if you have time and have planned ahead, you must try these Rosemary Dinner Rolls from Pioneer Woman. They are simply doctored up frozen rolls. They are incredibly easy to make but do require a couple of hours to rise so you have to get started on them well before dinner. Upon eating one of these Currey exclaimed that they were the best rolls that he had ever tasted. We enjoyed these with dinner with some of our students. Although we loved them, we were all horrified at how many we consumed. Let’s just say I’m glad I made 2 pans! They were seriously addicting. If you’d like to impress your dinner guests make these rolls. They will be amazed at your culinary skills but they may keep showing up at your house begging that you prepare these.
Just a couple of things to note…I don’t have a cast iron skillet. It’s on my wish list but in the mean time I just used a square metal pan and circular glass pyrex dish. The rolls turned out perfectly.
