Hello faithful readers! I’m going to break a big blogging rule and apologize for my absence. Shortly after Currey returned from his trip we headed out for a week long vacation, just the 2 of us. I had big plans of setting up posts to roll out when I was gone and then thought about blogging while on vacation. I decided time with Currey was more important than blogging so I abandoned y’all for a while.
But don’t worry! I’m back and getting into the swing of things, including blogging. I’ve got some great new recipes to share. With the holiday weekend quickly approaching, I wanted to share a wonderful Banana Pudding Recipe from Pearls, Handcuffs, and Happy Hour. Words cannot express how delicious this dish is. Whether you are headed to a picnic in the park or to a friend’s house for a cook out, you must bring this pudding along.
I loved this recipe because, as the writer suggests, there is not a ton of banana. I realize that it seems ridiculous to not like bananas in banana pudding but it’s true. Depending on your personal taste, I’d give this several hours or even overnight to set. I prefer softer vanilla wafers in my pudding.
You can whip this up in no time and it is guaranteed to be a crowd pleaser! I hope that you enjoy your long weekend celebrating what seems to be the close of summer. We are looking forward to enjoying one last summer weekend full of cookouts and time with friends. It’s hard to believe that we are already heading toward fall!
